Many years have been spent working abroad in the Far East and Middle East.

My favourites are Thailand and Saudi Arabia. Very different countries on the surface but wonderful people nonetheless. They have more in common than perhaps they would care to admit: friendliness to strangers, decent food and excellent scenery.
